USA, DE: Crooked Hammock Brewery already open in Middletown

Middletown has a bit of a backyard brewery scene going on, The News Journal reported on November 18.

A taste of the beach landed in MOT last week with the opening of Crooked Hammock Brewery, a spinoff of the popular Lewes-area company and Middletown's first-ever brewpub.

And just like its southern sister, Middletown's Crooked Hammock is all about a backyard vibe with an expansive 15,000-square-foot backyard area filled with fun, including a playground, spaces for cornhole, shuffleboard and bocce ball, a fire pit and, of course, multiple hammocks.

Crooked Hammock, located at 316 Auto Park Drive off Del. 299, is the town's second brewery, joining Volunteer Brewing Co., which has its own backyard theme.
