USA & Germany: Germany and US beer sales decline in January-May this year
German beer sales fell by 10.1% in May, and by 1.1% in January-May this year compared to the same period in 2018, H. M. Gauger GmbH said in their July report.
It shows once again the importance of weather for beer sales, the analysts pointed out.
U.S. domestic sales declined by 1.5% in May and by 0.7% in the first five months of the current year. Imports in totalled 13.95 mln hl in January-April, plus 1.8% versus the same period last year, of which from Mexico 9.9 mln hl, plus 3.0%.
