Canada, ON: Gillingham Brewing opens its doors in Hillier
Ontarios newest craft brewery has opened its doors in Hillier, a small community in Prince Edward County, the Canadian Beer News reported on May 6.
Gillingham Brewing has been established by Christine Mitchell-Gillingham and Andrew Gillingham, and was in development and construction for a year-and-a-half before opening this past weekend.
The initial pair of beers available in the Gillingham taproom and bottle shop are Pale Ale 25 (6.2% abv, 35 IBU), described as being somewhere between an American Pale Ale and a British Strong Ale, and Hopped Wheat (6.5% abv, 35 IBU), which is a tropical delight [with] hints of spice, passion fruit, banana with a punch of grapefruit.
Gillingham Brewing is located at 1316 Wilson Road in Hillier, and is open from 12:00 noon to 6:00 PM on Saturday, and 12:00 noon to 5:00 PM on Sunday.
