Brewing news Chile: CCU announces first quarter 2007 beer volumes

CCU reported preliminary first quarter 2007 consolidated volumes in its press release of April 9.

The preliminary volume breakout by segment in hectoliters is as follows:

Chile:

Beer 1,450,241 hl, up 5.9% year-on-year

Argentina:

Beer 745,638 hl up 12.0% year-on-year

CCU plans to release its consolidated first quarter results by the last week of April.
