News from e-malt Ukraine: Sarmat brewery started exporting beer to Georgia

Donetsk brewery Sarmat started beer exports to Georgia in April this year. Sarmat already shipped 23 thousand litres of beer to Georgian beer market. The distributor of Sarmat in Georgia is OOO Globanet based in Tbilisi. Now the second lot of 14 thousand litres of beer is being prepared for Georgia. In 2005 Sarmat plans to deliver an average 10 million litres of beer to the Georgian market.

Other main export directions of Sarmat beer are Russia, Moldova and other neighbouring countries.

Sarmat group is the fourth largest brewery in Ukraine. Last year the company controlled 13% of the beer market. Sarmat owns five breweries: OAO Lugansk brewery, OAO Crimea brewery, ZAO Dnipro brewery, ZAO Poltavpivo and a brewery in Donetsk.
