World: Beer sales show increase in Germany and Switzerland but drop in the US
Beer sales in Germany in January – October this year amounted to 80.3 mln hl, plus 1.3% versus the same period last year, H. M. Gauger GmbH reported earlier in December.
Switzerland produced 4.7 mln hl in October-September 2017/18, plus 1.8%.
USA domestic tax-paid shipments in January – October were 169 mln hl, minus 2.1%. U.S. beer imports in January – September though were 32.5 mln hl, plus 5.1%, of which 22.7 mln hl (plus 8.9%) from Mexico.
