Ukraine: Beer production down, malt up in Q1 2018

Ukraine’s brewers produced a total of 3.24 mln hl of beer in January – March this year, down 2.7% on the same period in 2017, Ukrpivo said on April 12.

The figure does not include output of alcohol-free beer and beer with less than 0.5% alc. by vol., the trade association said.

The nation’s malt output was 85,600 tonnes in the first quarter of the year, or 29.3% more than in Q1 2017.
