Brewing news Canada, ON: Beard Free Brewing sets soft opening on March 23

kawarthaNOW.com reported on March 15 that a new brewery and taproom will be opening its doors next weekend in Peterborough.

Beard Free Brewing has been founded by Nick Dubé, John Rozema, and Steveon Zablosky, and has had beer on tap at several local bars and restaurants since early March. The soft opening of its taproom and retail store will start on Friday, March 23rd.

The brewery will be offering four year-round brands named after local landmarks, including Simcoe St. IPA (6.5% abv, 70 IBU), Harstone Irish Red Ale (6% abv, 25 IBU), Lock 21 Cream Ale (4.5% abv, 15 IBU), and Little Lake French Saison (5% abv, 10 IBU). In addition, rotating seasonals and limited edition beers will also be available, with the first two being Bench Warmer Amber (5.5% abv, 20 IBU), and Hop Series #1: Simcoe X Equinox West Coast IPA (6.7% abv, 80 IBU).

Beard Free Brewing is located at 649 The Parkway, Unit 4 in Peterborough. Initial business hours will be 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM on Thursday to Saturday.
