Canada, ON: People’s Pint Brewing Co. sets opening date
People’s Pint Brewing Co. said on March 9 their doors will open at 101-90 Cawthra Ave in Toronto’s Junction neighbourhood on Friday, March 23, 2018, momandhops.ca reported.
Founders Peter Caira, award-winning homebrewer and Doug Appeldoorn, Prud’Homme Master Beer Sommelier and beer educator, will operate the brewery as a space where homebrewers are invited to collaborate.
“In the spirit of our original event series we will have a number of guest brewers whose beer will also some small batch beers on tap, including; Paroxysm, a Brett NEIPA, a collab with Reverence Barrel Works, Gose Faced Killah with Guava by guest brewer Kim Lucas, an ESB from guest brewer Katalyst Brewing, a Coffee Blonde by GTA Brews founder Eric Cousineau and a cask of American Brown Ale by Bent Mallet Brewers,” writes People’s Pint.
The brewery’s retail store will offer beer in 355ml, cans, 500ml bottles, and 1l Crowlers.
At launch, Caira and Appeldoorn will have a handful of their own creations available including Helles Island Lager, Chinook of the North APA, Goldie Boat English Golden Ale, El Chupacabra Ancho Cinnamon Porter, Serendipitous Sour, Simple Rick’s Sarsaparilla Ale, and Mango Fett Milkshake IPA.
People’s Pint Brewing’s grand opening weekend is Friday, March 23, 2018 to Sunday March 25, 2018 – doors open at noon each day. From there, the brewery will be open six days per week.
The brewery is housed in the former home of Junction Craft Brewing.
