EU: Malt exports in July-November 2017 decline by 2%
As per customs surveillance, EU malt exports during July 1 - November 28, 2017 were 1.19 mln tonnes (in grain equivalent), H. M. Gauger GmbH reported in December.
The decline in shipments is estimated at 2% y/y.
The major destinations for European malt were: Japan (125 thousand tonnes), Vietnam (103 thousand), Nigeria (69 thousand), Venezuela (61 thousand), and Brazil (49 thousand tonnes).
