EU: Most maltsters complete their sales program for 2017
The sales program for 2017 is complete for most maltsters. There are still new orders and inquiries coming in for the present crop year, which not every maltster can accept, H. M. Gauger GmbH analysts reported.
According to market sources, price levels in the major production centres of Europe are EUR 340,-/350,- exw in Germany, at least EUR 10,- more in Benelux/France.
Malting margins have improved from EUR 170,-/180,- per ton of malt to EUR 180,-/190,-, but they are really still low in view of the market situation.
